CRISP Beta Privacy Notice

The short version

CRISP is a private Android beta from Cutting Labs. It stores your closet and learning history on your phone, then sends selected information to outside services when a feature needs AI, image cleanup, weather, or diagnostics. The website counts page views and request-access clicks as daily totals; requesting access uses a minimal two-field form (email and phone model) hosted by Tally, our form provider. Tally delivers the submission to us and securely notifies the CRISP website, which uses Resend to send one operational request confirmation from hello@crisp-labs.ai with the tester install page. Resend processes the recipient email address and message content to deliver that email under its own terms. The website does not keep a separate copy of the webhook submission—or you can skip the form and email us directly. If you request access, we may send occasional beta and launch updates; every non-operational update will include a way to opt out.

Website activity counts

Starting September 12, 2026, we count views of the homepage, tester instructions, privacy notice and beta terms, plus clicks that open the access-request form. We keep only the UTC date, one of those page names and daily totals in our Cloudflare-hosted database. These are activity counts, not a count of unique people. Earlier visits were not recorded by this counter.

This counter uses no cookies, browser storage, fingerprinting or visitor identifiers. It does not store IP addresses, account or contact details, referrers, query strings or individual event histories. Cloudflare still processes network information to deliver and protect the website. Tally separately provides form visit and submission information under its own practices.

We honor the browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this counter. Blocking the counter does not affect the website or access requests. Daily totals cover the latest 90 UTC dates; older rows are removed when new activity is counted. If the site is inactive, older totals can remain until the next counted activity.

What stays on your phone

Wardrobe records, managed garment photos, preferences, outfit history, and feedback are primarily stored in the app's private storage on your Android phone. Android backup is disabled for the app.

Beta sign-in and protected requests

Starting with the 1.6.1 security update, AI and weather features require Google sign-in with an invited beta account. Firebase processes your account identifier, email and Google profile information, such as your display name, to manage your sign-in. Google Play Integrity helps verify the app installation. Earlier beta versions do not have this sign-in. Your closet is stored on your phone separately from the sign-in account.

In the security update, selected photos, text and weather location pass through CRISP's protected server, hosted by Cloudflare, to the relevant providers below. Requests also carry identity and app-verification tokens. The server does not intentionally save your photos, prompts or generated results. It stores hashed access identifiers, request counters and timestamps to control abuse. Hosting and API providers process network information, including IP addresses, under their service and security practices.

Request deletion of your CRISP beta account

When information leaves your phone

CRISP uses these services for the current beta:

• Anthropic and OpenAI: selected wardrobe photos, written context, and feedback may be processed for clothing analysis, outfit suggestions, and related AI features. When you use Rate Me, the full outfit photo you select—including any visible background—is sent to an AI provider for analysis.
• PhotoRoom or another background-removal service: garment photos may be processed to clean up their backgrounds.
• OpenWeatherMap: device coordinates are sent for local weather after Android location permission is granted. CRISP may send approximate or precise coordinates depending on the Android permission you grant. You may deny or revoke location permission in Android settings.
• Google Firebase: Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring receive app-usage events, crash reports, technical performance information, app-instance and installation identifiers, device details, and IP-derived approximate location so we can understand the beta and fix problems. Version 1.6.5 and later disable Android Advertising ID collection and advertising personalization, and limit app-defined usage events to aggregate counters. Earlier beta versions may collect the Advertising ID when available. CRISP does not display ads. Updating the app does not erase previously collected diagnostics.

Those providers' API-data terms, retention practices, and our account settings govern their handling of requests. We do not make a blanket promise that every provider immediately deletes or never retains submitted data.

Permissions

• The camera and Android system photo picker help you add clothes or a look.
• Location adds local weather and can be denied or revoked.
• Notifications support reminders and the status of longer background updates.
• Network access is required for weather and AI features.

Deletion and retention

To delete your CRISP beta sign-in account, open Wardrobe → ⋮ → Beta access, then open its ⋮ menu and choose Delete beta account. You can also email hello@crisp-labs.ai to request account and associated data deletion from the email address you used to sign in. We may ask you to verify ownership before acting. Do not send your password or verification codes. You can use this email route even after uninstalling the app.

Account deletion removes the Firebase sign-in account. Signing out or deleting that account leaves your local closet intact; use the local deletion options below to remove it. To remove your beta invitation or correspondence too, include that in your email request.

• Removing a closet item deletes its app record and managed image file from the phone.
• The in-app “Forget everything except my closet” reset clears learning and outfit-history data while keeping your closet.
• In the current beta, deleting one Rate Me result may leave its local photo until you use the full learning reset, clear the app's storage, or uninstall CRISP.
• Clearing CRISP's storage or uninstalling the app removes its local data from that phone. External services may retain data under their own API terms.
• Invitation, support, beta-feedback, and beta or launch-update emails are kept while you participate and for up to 12 months after the last contact, unless a longer period is required for security or legal records. You may unsubscribe from non-operational updates or ask us to delete the correspondence sooner.

Server abuse-control records are kept separately from your sign-in account. Duplicate-request records expire after seven days and are removed on later activity; inactive records may remain until activity resumes or we remove them. Hashed usage counters may remain for abuse prevention during the beta. Account deletion does not automatically erase these records or provider backups. Contact us about retained data and available deletion options. External providers apply their own retention and deletion policies.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke Android permissions, avoid features that send photos or location, delete closet items, reset CRISP's learning history, unsubscribe from non-operational emails, or uninstall the beta. Do not add photos or information you would not want processed as described here.

Security, children, and changes

We use the app's private Android storage and provider connections to limit exposure, but no beta or online service can promise perfect security. CRISP is intended for adult beta testers and is not designed for children. We may update this notice as the beta changes; the effective date above will change when we do.
